Dell Releases First EV-DO ExpressCard

Dell Wireless 5700 EVDO ExpressCardThe first ExpressCard for Verizon's high-speed EV-DO network is here, and it's sold by Dell. The 5700 card is based on the Novatel Merlin XV620.

Dell will sell the Dell Wireless 5700 Mobile Broadband ExpressCard for $179 through their online Software and Peripherals store by the end of this week, according to company spokeswoman Anne Camden. The card will come with 30 days of Verizon service; after that, you'll have to pay $59.99/month if you have a Verizon voice plan, or $79.99/month if you don't.
