Lenovo and RIM's Constant-Connect is now available

Back in February, we reported on the new 'Constant-Connect' solution by Lenovo and RIM. The idea is to have an expresscard module that automatically syncs emails from your blackberry - even if the computer is turned off.

It is now available through Lenovo.com, for 150$.

AJA Announces Ki Pro Portable Digital Disk Recorder: Records directly to ExpressCard SSDs or through Firewire

AJA Video Systems today announced Ki Pro, a portable tapeless video device that records files to the Apple ProRes 422 codec directly from camera. Virtually any video and audio source can be fed into Ki Pro to record pristine 10-bit ProRes 422 media that is then immediately available to edit within Apple’s Final Cut Studio.

Ki Pro records hours of media to a removable storage module with built in FireWire 800 or to ExpressCard/34 Flash SSDs. The device is a small, portable unit that can sit on a table, in a bay or mounted between a camera and tripod. Ki Pro is also ideal for on-set monitoring, providing instant access to multiple display devices simultaneously.

Taiwan based Avermedia has launched a new ExpressCard/34 TV tuner - the AirExpress TV card.

Sierra Wireless new AirCard 402 EVDO modem - fits in both PC-Card slots and ExpressCards

Sierra Wireless announced a new AirCard product that can be used in both PC-Card and ExpressCard slots. This is a nice and innovative design, and hopefully we'll see more devices such as this.

Sprint to launch 4G (WiMax) expresscards within 2 years

Sprint announced that their WiMax rollout is taking longer then expected...   this year they plan to add 10 more cities (currently it's only in Baltimore).

Sprint also announced plans to release over the next two years new WiMax hardware including a tri-mode phone, 4G ExpressCard, small office/home office modem and laptops with integrated WiMax chipsets.
